I'm sure we all get chocolate cravings every now and then, and mine are usually satisfied with a few Booja Booja dairy free chocolate truffles (see good deal in blue link!!)
But sometimes one can get an ongoing craving that doesn't budge no matter how much chocolate you throw down your throat. Yes, I had this for about 2 weeks and nothing satisfied it and I even hobbled to the corner shop with a temporary knee injury because the chocolate was calling to me. I mentioned it to my Kinesiologist and she explained that my body could be deficient in magnesium. Sure enough with the "testing" it came out as me needing to take extra magnesium in the morning for a month, not just at night, and specifically on an empty stomach.
I use Viridian High Potency Magnesium 300mg that you can get from most health shops, including Wholefoods, or from Amazon (see link below). I just take one before bed but now with the extreme chocolate cravings and guidance from my Kinesiologist, I'm taking one in the morning before breakfast as well.
